Vice President

quick facts | full bio

Larry Romero is Faulkner Strategies' Vice-President of Commercial Business Development, responsible for developing business with commercial and not-for-profit organizations. Larry's vision for the commercial side of the business is to offer complete communications solutions to Faulkner Strategies' customers, becoming a valuable partner versus just a supplier.

Larry's background is in engineering. After attending The University of Florida, he received his degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 1994. He went on to work in numerous jobs in the manufacturing sector engaged in 3-D Design and Modeling, Shop Engineering, and Engineering Technical Sales in mostly the sheet metal and aluminum extrusion industries. Having an entreprenureal spirit, it was after the position in technical sales that he decided to join the family business in 2002.

Larry's background outside of work has always been in computers and technology. Called AL (short for "Amazing Larry") for his ability to solve most computer problems, he has been in constant demand among friends and family! The love of anything high-tech has allowed him to stay on top of the latest and greatest innovations that drive much of the Faulkner Strategies infrastructure. "I remember my first computer back in 1989. It was an 8 MHz computer with a new technology called a "CD-ROM". Funny to say 8 MHz when today we talk of everything in Gigahertz and Terrahertz, but it was state-of-the-art when I bought it for $3500!" This love of technology allows the team at Faulkner Strategies to be on the leading edge of communication and software technologies, and will allow the team to offer the latest forms of communications as they evolve. Employees can be thousands of miles away and still run the business as if they were sitting at their desks!

Larry is married to Sarah, and has two teenage boys Joe and Lucas. He is actively involved in their local church, Granger Missionary Church, and works extensively with the Youth Group as a volunteer teacher and food preparer! He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation and is active in local community events. In his spare time, Larry likes to cook. He's been known to fire up the grill when it's 5 degrees outisde and the grill is covered in a foot of snow!
