is a Project Manager (consultant) working for Faulkner Strategies. Faulkner Strategies, is a Midwest based targeted communications and political consulting firm that works with clients, candidates and organizations to best position them in the mind of their targeted recipient. Faulkner Strategies is a nationally renowned direct mail vendor and they also do issue based advocacy coordination campaigns.
She works primarily on political advocacy projects and print sales. Jo has coordinated and worked with hundreds of companies on marketing, promotions and advocacy projects. She delivers results. Jo also has a strong education background having served on the local (South Bend) school board for eight years. She now serves on the Indiana State Board of Education and represents Indiana on a national No Child Left Behind committee in Washington. She has authored several articles, OpEd and white papers on education. She has a degree in Social work and holds an Indiana Insurance license so is aware and educated in health issues.
Jo worked for 10 years with the University of Notre Dame’s Graduate School developing a student organization and provided sustainability for the organization. She previously worked as Vice President to Encore Advertising for 10 years, as well.
Jo’s civic involvement includes working with her local mega-church (Granger Community Church - GCC) in developing local outreach education programming, has been involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, Healthy Communities Initiative, and Women’s Alliance. She presently serves on the Regional Board of the Crossings Alternative High Schools, is the Indiana representative for the National State Boards of Education’s Government Affairs committee, and chairs the GCC Education Task committee.
Jo grew up as a military dependent and lived in Japan, Germany, Turkey, Cuba, Washington DC, Pensacola, Florida and Honolulu, Hawaii. Jo worked for 3 years with Naval Security and holds a top secret security clearance. She presently lives in South Bend, Indiana in an old 100 year farm, is married to Dan who is an AFLAC agent and assists with GCC local outreach. She has two married daughters with three grandchildren.
